Plasma Actuation for the Turbulent Mixing of Fuel Droplets and Oxidant Air in an Aerospace Combustor

In order to explore plasma-assisted turbulent mixing in aerospace engines, the dielectric barrier discharge plasma actuation for of fuel droplets and oxidant air a ramjet combustor was studied using computational fluid dynamics. A two-way coupling discrete realized by Eulerian–Lagrangian simulation, action on flow modeled body force. The results show that can rearrange recirculation zone behind evaporative V-groove flameholder, main mechanism is increase local momentum fluid; dimension, intensity, position have strong effects air; relatively optimal be achieved adjusting parameters.
